Privacy Policy
We keep this short and plain. YiGram is built to collect as little as possible, to never sell your data, and to handle what we do hold in line with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains what that means in practice.
Last updated 5 June 2026.
Who we are
YiGram is the operator of this service and the controller of the data described here. If you have any privacy question or request, contact us at contact@yigram.com.
What we collect
To produce a reading we process the question you write, the hexagram it draws, and the reading returned to you. If you create an account we store your email address. Purchases are handled by a third-party payment provider; we do not see or store your full card details. In short, we collect only what the service needs to work — nothing more.
How we use it
We use your data to generate and display your readings, to run your account and credits, to keep the service secure and working, to understand in aggregate how it is used, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Legal basis (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we process data to perform the service you have requested (contract), on the basis of your consent (for example, analytics), to comply with the law, and for our legitimate interest in operating and improving YiGram in a measured way.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers — for instance for payment processing, hosting, generating reading text, email delivery, and privacy-friendly analytics. They act only on our instructions and are bound by appropriate data-protection terms. We do not disclose our specific providers or the internal methods behind our readings here.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytics are privacy-friendly and load only after you give explicit consent; you can decline without affecting your reading.
Data retention
We keep data only for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country or region. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards for the transfer.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, and you may object to certain processing or withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@yigram.com and we will respond within one month.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take care to limit what we hold and to guard it.
Children
YiGram is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
YiGram offers structured readings to support your own reflection and decision-making. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice, and it makes no claim to predict the future. Any decision you make, and its outcome, is your own. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YiGram is provided “as is” and we limit our liability accordingly.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; any material change will be noted here with a new date. Questions or requests: contact@yigram.com.
